July update

Well,.... .Kaila is moving back in, temporarily she has assured us. I am currently emptying the pool so I can refill it. Though I tested the water, and had it tested professionally... and there is NOTHING wrong with it (the Ph was perfect, chlorine level was good, no phosphates or algae, etc) but the water was totally cloudy. I could not even put my arm in the water to my elbow and my hand had already disappeared. So, I am draining it and starting over. The annoying aspects are that I spent a lot on a new filter since we couldn't afford passes to 7 Peaks..., my water bill will suck for a while because using 10,000 gallons of water only costs $7.50 (much less than the chemicals I tried using to clear the pool up) but the sewer bill also goes up accordingly. And, it was a nice and comfortable temperature and now it will be freezing cold for a while. On the bright side, it will be nice and clean..... :) (and that is what is more important, right?)

I have family coming in soon. I am excited to see them, and to have a week off!!

ON CALL

Being on call sucks, in case anybody ever wondered! I was hoping to work on the tan this weekend, but it looks like the rain and crappy weather won't let me. What is with this weather? It is COLD and June is coming to a close. I want HOT weather.... HOT!!! I guess if it is raining, I will work on scrapbooking this weekend. I finally got a permanent place to put my stuff. (Thanks, Kaila.) LOL, if she moves back, it is staying put!!!

Ta daaaa!!

Yeah, I haven't even looked at these in a LONG time. I have been swamped with stuff... so since I am fairly certain nobody will read this, I can pretty much write whatever I want, right?

Well, the twins graduated, my mom had emergency surgery and didn't get to come out for it. (Her retina detached from her eye, it has reconnected and is doing well.) My dad and his wife were out here for a while. I worked a little overtime last paycheck because Ryan's work was slow. Miranda broke her arm, but it was so long ago she gets the case off this Thursday.

The weather here has SUCKED. Cold and rainy a LOT. We brought home a new puppy, because we are retarded. It is a dachshund, and the little girls named her Penny.... which I find to be stupid. And Kaila moved out. She was going to be not allowed to live here anymore, and I was going to go buy her a summer contract at student housing, but she didn't want to live there so she left and went to live in SLC. I still haven't seen where she lives, but I saw her yesterday when I went out with her to help her look for jobs and helped her write a resume.

That is pretty much it. I am going mentally insane with irresponsible teenagers. I want to cry, throw up, and scream ..... all at the same time!! :)

Apologies

My apologies to everyone. I have not been reading Blogger. I don't have time to read Facebook and Blogger. Facebook seems to be easier, no switching from site to site as much, though there is some. I just read some today, and I feel out of touch......

Miranda funny

I had to take Miranda to the doctor today, she had an ear infection. As we went to leave, we walked out and there was a little girl with her mother waiting for the elevator. She had HUGE tears in her eyes, and her chin was quivering. Miranda ran up and threw her arms around her, and gave her a great big hug. What a sweetie.

The elevator arrived and we all went in. The little girl was scared of the man next to her, so her mom picked her up. Bad timing, because Miranda had just decided to throw herself onto the floor of the elevator. The little didn't see her because she was looking at her mom and was too high. I told Miranda to get up, and asked her what she was doing... maybe trying out to be a stunt man? The doors opened and we exited. As the other people walked the other way, Miranda turned to me and said, "I did that because I was trying to make the little girl laugh, so she wouldn't be sad anymore." At least she has a heart.... I must have given her mine!!!

Birthday blues.....

So, today is Ryan and Kaila's birthdays. I felt bad, I bought Kaila her gift already, and Ryan wanted to order his own so I didn't get the wrong stuff. The three of us went out to eat at California Pizza Kitchen, and then tried to go to a movie but it was sold out. We decided to go home and try tomorrow for a matinee. :)

Kaila has grown into a beautiful young woman. I am so proud of her, she is a good person. She made a goal to move out soon, and has been preparing by saving money and purchasing things she will need for it. She has a sweet personality, and I love her very much.

Ryan has had a tough year, and he is still awaiting his test results!!! Mean!!!! He has accomplished so many things over the years while we have been married! I am so proud of him, he has worked hard. I hope he gets his results soon, it is taking a toll on all of us!! He enjoys his camera, and his family likes to call him papparazzi!!! I wish that I could afford him a new camera... maybe next year!!! (of course by then, there will be an even better one!!)

Happy Birthday to both of you!!!

Abby helping mommy work

Abby asked her dad to get her a stick because she was making something for me. He went out and cut her one off. She taped the end of it (you cannot see it here) so I didn't cut myself on it. LOL. So, she comes up to me with it behind her back and declares "Mom, I made you something for work so you can help people stop being bad." Then, she pulls this out from behind her back." LOL, I am doing to use this during interrogations and hold it up and say "STOP lying." He he, 8 year olds are genius.

My quirks and peeves....

I was inspired by Delirious to list my quirks.... and there are many....

1. I don't like germs... but I am most a freak about lip germs. I don't even like my kids drinking after me. I am the biggest freak about my chapstick. I am addicted to chapstick, and I have a paranoia of getting a cold sore. I DON'T like people using my chapstick, so don't ask. If you HAVE to use it, keep it. I won't use it again.

2. I LOATHE a dirty house. With that said, mine is usually dirty, putting me in a bad mood. I cannot work more than full time, and keep up a house after 8 people, most of whom have never learned to pick up after themselves. I look forward to the day my household is a manageable size and/or I can afford to hire a maid. :) My quirk in regard to this is that everything has a place, and when it isn't there.. I nearly go insane. If things would get put back in the same place, every time, nobody would ever waste time looking for things.

3. One of my pet peeves is my socks getting wet. This is particularly true in the bathroom when someone has recently showered, but also happens when kids track in water from sprinklers or snow. Or, I have to take out the garbage so I walk out in socks and get it wet outside.

4. I hate drivers that drive in the left lane and are not passing anyone. I usually turn on my red and blue lights to force them over, then glare at them as I drive past. Sometimes I pull them over and chew them out. It is, after all, against the law to be on the left side of any car unless you are passing, or are within 300 feet of making a left turn. It is also just rude, and causes most of our fatal accidents because cars passing them on right are merging with cars legally passing on the left and the crash in the middle.

5. I hate procrastination. I don't do it, and it drives me nuts when other people do it. It causes me stress FOR them.

There are countless other, but since I am so perfect, I can get mad at those who don't rise to the same standard!! LOL
